The many elves of the Vernal Rotary Club gathered on Thursday night in preparation for the distribution of Santa’s Community Effort which collects Christmas gifts for local children and families in need. The program relies on the generosity of the community and help is still needed. There are tags on the trees at the entrance of Walmart and Davis Jubilee in Vernal. Simply pick a tag, shop based on the information provided about the child, and drop the gift off at the Davis Jubilee Customer Service desk. “A HUGE thanks to everyone that has donated so far!” shares the Vernal Rotary Club. “…This project really does spread Christmas cheer by bringing a little magic and hope to families each year.”
