The chill of fall weather is in the air, meaning it’s time to get out the jackets and soon enough winter will mean coats are needed. Unfortunately, some individuals and families will come up short of what they need which is why the community is invited to donate new and gently used coats through the Rotary Club’s Winter Coat & Hoodie Drive. “Vernal Rotary Clubs Annual Coat drive helps people in need stay warm during the winter! It provides essential clothing to those who can’t afford it, protecting them from the cold and preventing health issues,” shares Rotary President Shannon Reyes. “Coat drives make a big difference by collecting and distributing warm coats. Plus, donating to coat drives is a great way to give back to your community and support those less fortunate.” Donations of all sizes and for all ages can be dropped off in Vernal at Davis Food & Drug, the Uintah County Library, and State Farm. The free coat event will take place on November 4th at the Uintah County Library.
