The Roosevelt City Police Department is excited to continue the beloved tradition of Shop With A Cop. “Each December, our dedicated officers come together to make the holidays brighter for local children in need,” shares the announcement. “This special event allows us to connect with amazing kids and families in our community, bringing joy and support when it’s needed most.” One way to help is to make a donation to the cause. Another way is to help them with referrals to those in need this season. The recommendations need to come from DCFS, local schools, or faith leaders. Priority will be given to families at or below the federal poverty line, as well as those experiencing undue hardships. Names that cannot be helped by Shop With A Cop will be provided to the Sub For Santa program. Forms are available for pickup/drop-off at their office or online until December 8th.
