A Roosevelt man took the trip of a lifetime this month and spent a few minutes reporting about it last week to the Roosevelt City Council. Korean War Veteran Harold Huff visited Washington, D.C. thanks to the Honor Flight program which takes Veterans to see their War Memorial in person at no cost to them thanks to many generous donations. Sharing with the Roosevelt City Council, Huff said it was awesome to participate and joked that he still hasn’t recovered. He reported that there were 4 WWII Veterans and 12 Korean War Veterans in his group while the rest were Vietnam War Veterans. Huff expressed his gratitude for having been able to go and read a poem by Charles Province to the City Council honoring Soldiers. Huff is one of over 2000 Veterans that Utah Honor Flight has taken to visit their War Memorial in D.C.. To learn more, visit www.UtahHonorFlight.org
