Politics might seem to bring the worst out in some people but can also help us to recognize when we have people working on our side. Roosevelt City recently posted on their Facebook page a reminder to the residents that every transaction the city makes can be viewed online. Transparency, the current buzzword for trust, is taken very seriously by Roosevelt. They express their commitment to being totally open about how tax dollars are used by inviting everyone to go to Utah’s transparency page at utah.gov/transparency and look up Roosevelt City Corporation. This is also where other entities can be viewed. Residents can check on the city’s finances at any time and are encouraged to call 435-722-5001 with any questions that they might have. According to the City, “We want our residents to understand their government, and we’re happy to help with that in any way we can.”
