Roosevelt City has a few reminders for those excited to get on the golf course. The golf course has opened early but there will be no golf carts permitted on the course at this time. “Due to the extremely dry winter and spring that we have had, we will be needing to make some changes to the golf course to prevent unrepairable damage to the fairways,” shares the announcement. “Until secondary water is available, the golf course will not be allowing golf carts on the course. Players can still play, but it will be walking only until the fairways can be watered. So far this spring, the number of carts on the fairways have pushed the fairway grass past what it can handle with how hot and dry this winter and spring have been.” Public Works is tentatively planning to turn on secondary water for the season around April 15th.
