Every city benefits when the community has outlets in the form of arts, parks, and recreation. For Roosevelt City, the community has expressed a desire, according to Mayor JR Bird, “to have some type of entity formed that could help organize, expand and enhance the recreation and arts of our City.” Mayor Bird is in total support of exploring such an idea. “This is something I personally feel would benefit our citizens and give opportunity for individuals to be involved and assist in the activities, arts and recreation of our community,” shares Mayor Bird. The city council will explore the idea of an Arts/Park & Rec committee and has put it on their agenda as an item for the Tuesday, March 19th meeting. The meeting will
start at 5:30pm
and individuals are invited to come and share their thoughts.
