Roosevelt City recently issued a reminder to residents and property owners that City streets, sidewalks, gutters, and public right-of-ways must be kept clear of debris, materials, and other obstructions. City code prohibits construction and landscaping materials left on paved streets or sidewalks without proper City authorization; Trash and other obstructions may not be placed or stored in streets, gutters, sidewalks, or other public areas; And garbage cans should not be placed in the street until the evening before the scheduled collection day and must be removed from the street the same day they are emptied. “Roosevelt City Police will be increasing enforcement of these city codes moving forward,” shares the announcement. “Residents and property owners are asked to make sure streets, sidewalks, and gutters adjacent to their property are kept clear and that garbage cans are removed promptly after collection. Citations may be issued if officers observe violations of these City codes.”
