Roosevelt City Creates Survey On Tiny Houses; Public Input Requested

Roosevelt City has created a survey for public input and has offered more information on what input they are looking for as they consider the creation of zoning ordinances for tiny homes. “It is anticipated that the state will adopt the IRC code for Tiny House construction in 2023,” shares Roosevelt City. “This, along with already established Building Code, means that regardless of how we choose to regulate zoning for Tiny Houses, there are and will continue to be safety and livability standards that need to be met for any residence in the city, including hooking up to sewer and other utilities.”

Roosevelt City is requesting input concerning zoning regulations, which are primarily about where Tiny Houses can be built, lot size and accessory building size. The survey is available on the homepage of www.rooseveltcity.com. Those interested in sharing their thoughts on the zoning aspect of tiny homes in Roosevelt are invited to attend the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on May 4th.
