Roosevelt City continues to explore economic development options. During the June 19th Roosevelt City Council meeting, economic growth was a major theme of discussion. “The council heard several presentations from agencies who work with municipalities to secure federal grant dollars and funding for community redevelopment,” shares the Roosevelt Bulletin. “They also conducted an informal discussion with members of the public regarding the formation of an economic development committee.” This committee would focus on existing businesses as well as new businesses and services. Support is already in place from business owners and corporate leaders. Some even presented during the meeting, in support of the proposed committee. Roosevelt City public meetings can be viewed through the City’s website,
