Roosevelt City Council approved an annexation request this month. Roosevelt City Planning Commission heard the request from Wyatt Griffith to annex approximately 176 acres from Duchesne County to Roosevelt City, seeking a R-1-10 zone. The Planning Commission asked if the location is within Roosevelt City service areas for City utilities and it was explained that it is and that Griffith was working with an engineer on making the connections for the development. With a positive recommendation from the Planning Commission, Roosevelt City Council held a public hearing on November 1st. Questions were asked about utilities and lot sizes but no community members spoke in opposition to the annexation. The City Council unanimously approved the request for annexation.
