The window to declare candidacy for the 2017 municipal elections is coming up in June. It was previously reported that Roosevelt City has no positions up for election this year when in fact the Roosevelt City Municipal Election will be held to elect a Mayor and two city council members. Mayor Vaun Ryan’s term is up December 31st, as well as councilmen Troy Rohrer and Dustin White. The Naples City Municipal Election will be held to elect a Mayor and two city council members. Mayor Dean Baker’s term is up December 31st, as well as councilmen Robert Hall and Dennis Long. The Vernal City Municipal Election will be held to also elect a Mayor and two city council positions. Mayor Sonja Norton’s term of office is up December 31st, as well as council member Ted Munford and council member Bert Clark. Each person seeking to become a candidate must file a Declaration of Candidacy Form in person with their City Recorder’s office between June 1st and June 7th.
