It was a full house at the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce 69th Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on Thursday night. The crowd enjoyed the interaction with and speech of Mitt Romney as the keynote speaker for the event. Among his words, Romney emphasized that Utah is a great state not only because it is a strong state but because the people are good people. Business awards were given during the event, among other awards. The Businesses of the Year are Smith’s Food and Drug in retail/wholesale, ZECO Equipment in manufacturing/industry, Uintah Wrestling Team in government, Chivers Ranch in agriculture, Ashley Regional Medical Center in service, and TriCounty Health Department in Environmental/Health and Safety.
