Information offered by a community revitalization specialist is being taken seriously by leaders and business owners in Uintah County. Utilizing funding through the state office of travel and tourism, the county, cities, chamber and business entities chipped in to fund the assessment by Roger Brooks International. Roger Brooks gave his presentation last month offering suggestions from the importance of implementing a wayfinding system to alternative and more effective signage on businesses. According to Uintah County Director of Travel and Tourism Lesha Coltharp, small groups are being formed to look at the suggestions made by Roger Brooks and the goal is to make a punch list of the top 10 things to try and accomplish by next spring. “There is already a committee for downtown businesses called the 5th to 5th revitalization committee and a hospitality committee that will be discussing the findings and deciding what is most important,” shares Coltharp.
