The Cub Creek Road unpaved section is Closed to vehicles. Visitors may access petroglyphs and Josie’s Cabin on foot. You can park at the paved pull out before the road narrows. The Blue Mountain Road that leads out of the monument is a mix of snow and mud. Several 4×4 vehicles have been stuck recently. The Split Mountain Road is Open. The Green River Campground is still Closed for winter but it is Projected to open on May 5th. The Split Mountain Campground is Open but there is no drinking water available. It is first-come, first-served through April 17th. Although expect snow and mud, it is projected to transition to a Group Campground with drinking water and reservations available through Recreation.gov on April 18th. Trails are open but expect mud. There are free trail handouts available at the Quarry Visitor Center and Exhibit Hall. The Harpers Corner and Echo Pass area, Harpers Corner Road is Temporarily closed just past the Canyon Visitor Center. It will open progressively as snow removal equipment and weather allow for clearing and drying of the road. With this winter’s heavy snowfall at higher elevations, the Harpers Corner Road may not be fully open until mid-May. Echo Park Road is currently impassable with snow and mud. 4WD and high clearance recommended once things melt and dry more. The Yampa Bench Road is not maintained in winter so it is currently impassable with the snow and mud. 4WD and high clearance vehicles are still recommended even when things melt and dry more.
