The summer months are a favorite for visitors to Flaming Gorge and the Ashley National
Forest is giving a heads up on some upcoming projects. The Cedar Springs Boat Ramp
will be closed June 26th at 4:00pm and reopened June 27th at noon. The project will
include pavement repair crews making asphalt repairs next to the boat ramp. This is part
of a larger project to chip and slurry seal the roads and parking lots near the Flaming
Gorge Dam. That work will begin in August and continue into September with the goal
of extending the life of the roads and parking lots and improving accessibility for the
public. The Bureau of Reclamation and Ashley National Forest fund the projects which is
a total of about $450,000 dollars. The area of the reservoir served by the Cedar Springs
Boat Ramp will still be accessible from the Mustang Boat Ramp during the repairs on
June 26th and 27th.
