River Runner Hall of Fame Inducts Two Honorees

John Wesley Powell River History Museum in Green River holds the river runners hall of fame. Members are men and women who have run the region’s wild rivers. Every year a select few of these runners that have influenced the river culture of the Colorado Plateau are selected to be highlighted at the museum. Just this last weekend the museum inducted two new members: Herm Hoops from Jensen and the late Malcolm “Moki Mac” Ellingson. The night featured a benefit banquet (the museum’s major fundraiser) and live music by the band “Highwater”.
