An investigation is in the public eye after a video of an arrest by Rifle Police Department was posted to social media. According to Rifle Police Department, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call early
Friday morning
which resulted in the use of force to make the arrest. “The officer involved followed department policy and immediately reported the incident to his supervisor,” shares Rifle PD. “Pursuant to standard procedure, an investigation was initiated. Subsequently, a video of the arrest taken by a third party was posted on social media and a formal complaint was lodged by the citizen.” Rifle Police Department has made it clear that, as with all instances where force is utilized, a thorough investigation of the incident is underway.
