A terrifying situation thankfully had a good outcome this week in Rifle. Rifle Police Department have confirmed that they are investigating a case of an attempted abduction of a minor child that took place in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 13th. “The child managed to fight off the attacker,” shares Rifle Police. “The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Fourth Street. The investigation is ongoing and the only suspect information available at this point is a male in dark clothing.” Rifle Police are asking the public to report anything that may be perceived as suspicious that occured Tuesday, June 12th, or Wednesday morning, June 13th. Also, citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity.
