Coming off a very successful 2018, Roosevelt’s own Rhen Richard was crowned the 2019 All Around Champion at ‘THE AMERICAN’ event in Arlington, Texas over the weekend. Known as “the world’s richest weekend in Western Sports”, THE AMERICAN is an annual rodeo competition at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. It pits the top athletes in professional rodeo against underdogs who advanced through qualifying events and pays out nearly $2.35 million dollars through it all.

lists Rhen Richard as 3rd, 10th, and 15th place in the 2018 world standings for his roping events. Richard joined the PRCA in 2008 and is listed with career winnings of over $1 million dollars. Congratulations to our hometown cowboy Rhen Richard, the 2019 All Around Champion!
