Crooks are working to scam locals any way they can manage. The use of fake bills has increased in the Vernal area and anyone accepting cash for payment is urged to pay attention. The rodeo concession stands and the Hit Run Score fundraiser were reportedly both hit by the use of fake $100 dollar bills, among other places around town. Vernal City Police is investigating the cases, shares Vernal City Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell, and confirms that fake $100 dollar bills were used at the rodeo. The Vernal City Police Department cautions businesses to be diligent and report any suspicious bills.
