Repeat DUI Offender Arrested With Minors In Vehicle

A repeat offender was arrested for DUI in the Fruitland area with minors in the vehicle. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, dispatch received a call that a woman had been drinking and was driving in the Fruitland area. An Officer observed a vehicle matching the description that was speeding and a traffic stop was initiated. The strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was noticed coming from inside the vehicle. It was also noted that there were 3 minor passengers in the vehicle, the youngest being 7-years-old. Brandi Strong was asked to step out of the vehicle and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing was conducted and a breath test was performed. A criminal history check revealed at least 2 previous DUI convictions. 44-year-old Brandi Lynn Strong was placed under arrest. She was charged with 3rd Degree Felony Driving Under The Influence and 3 Misdemeanor Counts of Driving Under The Influence with a Passenger Under 16 Years Old.
