by | Mar 9, 2026 | News | 0 comments

Uintah County offered a recent reminder of a free service from the Uintah County Recorder’s Office. ‘Property Watch’ notifies you if documents are recorded under your name. It is widely known as an effective way to combat deed fraud. Once signed up, the Recorder’s Office automatically sends an email alert every time a document such as a Lien, Deed, or Reconveyance Deed is recorded. Deed fraud is a form of home title theft when someone steals a property owner’s personal information in order to transfer a title into the scammer’s name. To sign up for Property Watch in Uintah County, visit www.uintah.utah.gov, click the Government tab followed by ‘Recorder’. Once at the Uintah County Recorder page, scroll down and click on ‘Property Watch’ to go to the page to sign up. Please note that some addresses have multiple parcel numbers so be sure to submit all parcel numbers you wish to receive notifications about. In order to use Property Watch, the name listed must be an owner on the property. All questions can be directed to the Uintah County Recorder’s Office at 435-781-5398.
