Veterans Day is being remembered throughout the region. A wreath ceremony is being held at 11am at the Uintah County war memorials. The Veterans Day Community Flag Retirement Ceremony is being held between the Uintah Conference Center and Western Park and all are invited to come participate between 11am and 6pm with the main program at noon. A special Veterans Day celebration is taking place in Roosevelt today in the Roosevelt Arby’s parking lot at 4pm. If you’re looking for an educational experience and don’t mind a drive, a very unique opportunity to commemorate Veterans Day is taking place Saturday at the Sweetwater County Historical Museum in Green River, Wyoming. “Denny Pace of Green River has been a World War II re-enactor for over 15 years. He has compiled an extensive collection of gear, clothing, and weapons used by American paratroopers of the Second World War era, particularly the 82nd Airborne Division, all of which will be on display at the museum.” The general public is invited to come to the museum at 3 Flaming Gorge Way in Green River between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Admission is free.
