Red Leaf Resources, Inc. announced on Wednesday a partnership they say will be a major benefit to their Uintah County oil shale project. The ‘strategic technical alliance’ is with Hatch, a global leader in engineering and technology development. According to the Red Leaf news release, Hatch has been involved in the overall technology development of the Red Leaf oil shale projects, including the development of the EcoShale technology. Red Leaf CEO Adolph Lechtenberger says the agreement with Hatch will increase investor confidence and is a significant milestone for the Seep Ridge project located 60 miles south of Vernal. The Seep Ridge Project is expected to produce 10,000 barrels of oil shale per day once running. The project’s construction is set to begin in 2021 and production is expected in 2023. The goal of both companies is to help oil shale projects have increased production, reduced costs, and improved oil recovery.
