Gobblers assemble! The recipients of the Gobbler Thanksgiving 5K have been selected and it’s time to get registered and start recruiting your friends and family to join in this worthy Thanksgiving tradition. This year’s Gobbler has three recipients. 3-year-old Adalae Wheeler was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in May when she was still only 2-years-old. Life since then has been a whirlwind of surgery and treatments but Adalae remains resilient and still finds ways to have fun and enjoy life’s good moments. Cancer became a part of Jason Workman’s life in 1993 when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In 2015, he was diagnosed with radiation induced heart disease and has had 7 heart surgeries, the most recent just months ago, with many complications since. Destiny Rollins was diagnosed with breast cancer before turning 21 and underwent extensive treatment to save her life. A few years later she met the love of her life and they married and had two children. In 2025, it was found that Destiny’s cancer had spread to her liver and the most recent scans in August show the cancer has progressed rapidly throughout her body. Come support these three amazing individuals at the 2026 Gobbler Thanksgiving 5K. The race begins Thanksgiving morning at 9am in front of the UBTech building in Vernal. All profits from the race, raffle, and awesome merch goes directly to the recipient families! Visit www.Gobbler5k.com to learn more.
