Concepts for the Kay Memorial Park adjacent to the Uintah Community Center weren’t the only design suggestions presented at the April board meeting of the Uintah Recreation Special Service District held last week. The Master Plan update also included a conceptual design for the Ashley Valley Community Park on 500 North in Vernal. The biggest changes involve the baseball and softball fields. The proposed design changes the main complex to a mix of softball and baseball fields with a large parking lot added between the complex and Ashley Elementary. The existing softball fields would be removed and a second complex would be added on the area next to the school on 1150 West and 500 North with additional parking added.
