Put Safety First As 100 Deadliest Days Of Travel Begin

Memorial Day kicked off a tragic annual observance, the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer on Utah’s roadways and troopers made their presence known across the state, including in the Uintah Basin. The troopers  had 148 contacts in 48 hours. Of the 148 contacts, 115 were for speed, 17 were seatbelt violations, 2 were crashes and 11 were equipment violations. Friday night was DUI enforcement night during which 53 DUI arrests were made. Make safety the top priority during this summer’s travels.
