Public meetings have been scheduled concerning the already underway construction on the Indian Canyon Corridor. The project has several moving parts. The most recent part of the project marked as Complete is the trenching and installing of ITS fiber conduit on four miles of Highway 191 south of Duchesne. In April, construction work began on the summit’s north side where there will be approximately 3 miles of chain-up area added and an additional southbound passing lane added between mileposts 273 and 275. Intersection improvements are also part of the North of Summit construction. The intersections include Right Fork Canyon, Skitzy Canyon, Sowers Canyon, and the US-191 and US-40 intersection in Duchesne. Once work moves South of Summit, 9 miles of roadway and shoulder widening will be added, among other improvements. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm and motorists should plan for delays. To learn more about the improvements and ask questions, plan to attend one of two public meetings. The first will be on June 3rd from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Price City offices and the second will be on June 5th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Duchesne City offices.
