Literacy changes lives and the Duchesne County Library System has partnered with a program to ensure that local adults needing help becoming literate, get the tutoring they need. “Duchesne Branch Library and Roosevelt Branch Library are partnering with Project Read to offer one-on-one reading tutoring to functionally illiterate adults ages 16 and up. Project Read can change lives through literacy by empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building community. This service is available at both the Duchesne Branch and the Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library system. Project Read works with students from all countries and backgrounds, including refugees, who are seeking a better life for themselves and their families. Project Read helps adults by giving them the literacy skills they need for a brighter future.” If you or someone you know would like help improving their reading and writing skills, call the Duchesne Branch at 435-738-2800 or the Roosevelt Branch at 435-722-4441.
