Details on potential water share shortages in the Ashley Valley will be shared in a radio
interview on Newstalk KVEL AM920 and 104.5 FM tonight at 6pm. In a letter to
customers dated May 21st, Ashley Valley Water and Sewer Improvement District
Manager Ryan Goodrich shares that “this spring the water allocation that the district has
been receiving for the past ten years was reduced by 50%…The district has NO desire to
condemn water from irrigation companies or individuals and has NO desire to limit those
irrigation companies and individuals their ability to use their water. This is why the
district is proposing a special water conservation rate during drought conditions…” The
District’s board is holding a public hearing on June 4th at 6pm to answer questions and
receive input from customers. In the meantime, listen to the interview with Ashley Valley
Water and Sewer Improvement District Manager Ryan Goodrich tonight at 6pm on
Newstalk KVEL. The interview will then be available to listen to on BasinNow.com.
