Person of Interest in Whiterocks Murder Investigation Taken Into Custody

A person of interest in the homicide of 20-year-old Sukakee Manyhides was taken into custody without incident
on Wednesday night
. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Drew Black was taken into custody in Salt Lake County. The body of Sukakee Manyhides was found on August 23rd on a road northwest of Whiterocks. The FBI’s announcement of the homicide investigation stated that the body was found under “suspicious circumstances.” On Saturday, August 26th, 30-year-old Zhondee Nephi was arrested and brought into tribal custody in connection with the case. Law enforcement then announced that they were looking for 33-year-old Drew Black who was taken into custody
on Wednesday night
.  The investigation by the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, FBI and BIA is ongoing.
