Scholarships make a real difference to locals furthering their education at USU-Uintah Basin and thanks to a successful golf tournament there will be more scholarships to go around. The second annual ‘Perfect Swing for Scholarships’ golf tournament was held on Wednesday, August 29th, at Dinaland Golf Course in Vernal. Eighteen teams participated in the event that is part of the Uintah Basin Energy Summit thanks to the partnership between USU and Uintah County Economic Development Office and the Uintah County Commission. “We are excited about the growth this year and appreciate the support for our students by our local community and industries,” shares Cameron Cuch, USU-Uintah Basin Associate Director and Director of Students. “These organizations are making an investment in the Uintah Basin’s future leaders and workforce.” This year’s event raised over $13,500 dollars for the USU Advisory Board Community Scholarship.
