An phone store employee is in Duchesne County Jail after he allegedly accessed a customer’s explicit photos and messaged them back to the customer. According to the arresting officer’s Affidavit of Probable Cause, a Roosevelt woman called Central Dispatch on January 3rd very upset after explicit photos of herself were sent to her phone from an unknown number.
Theft in the community isn’t necessarily on the rise but that doesn’t mean it is going away. “Let’s call it a consistent problem,” shares Vernal City Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell. “I would encourage people in our community to lock their homes and vehicles and not leave property visible in vehicles and on porches that would entice or encourage a potential thief.”

The Duchesne County History Center historical photo project continues to progress thanks to the use of social media. The Uintah County Commission approved the 2022 Uintah County budget last week. Commissioners unanimously approved a tentative budget of $59,293,198 dollars. When including American Rescue Plan Act funds the 2022 budget was listed at $61,268,172 dollars.
