The Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department has a helpful reminder for all. When you are cooking, keep anything that can catch fire away from your stovetop. This includes oven mitts, wooden utensils, food packaging, towels, and curtains. It might seem obvious but fires start when the heat is too high so caution is needed. If you see any smoke or if the grease starts to boil, turn the burner off!
