International Flags to be Displayed at Utah Field House

A colorful addition to the Utah Field House lawn is aimed at welcoming tourists and sprucing up the new Vernal Information Center sign destined for the same spot. According to Field House Park Manager Steve Sroka, the word is still getting out that free information on the Vernal area is available at the museum.

The toughest woman in the wild west, Josie Bassett Morris and her famous homestead will be the focus of an open house event this Saturday.

DUP Invites International Visitor

Thursday will be a special day for the local Daughters of Utah Pioneers(or DUP) organization. International DUP President Maurine Smith is visiting the Basin and will participate in the rededication of two historical markers in Uintah County.

Repairs Planned for Aggie Blvd

The Uintah Transportation Special Service District has been reviewing bids for repair on a section of Aggie Blvd near the college campuses. According Chairman of the Uintah Transportation Special Service District Duane Shepherd, cracks in the road north of the Aggie bull statue were spotted, indicating water leaking beneath the roadway.
