The Uintah Basin might not be considered the launching point for international artists but this Wednesday and Thursday that will be the case. Owen Mac is a 16 year old Irish singer making his USA debut right here in Vernal. Owen hit the music scene almost four years ago in Ireland and since then has already released four albums, has won multiple awards and is a social media sensation. He also was featured in a documentary television series “Keeping Er Country”. He will perform with his father, Dessie Mac, on both Wednesday, August 28th and Thursday, August 29th at the Vernal Middle School. Doors open at 6pm with the concert starting at 7pm and going until 9:30pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 4 to 12 years old with kids 3 and under free. Tickets can be purchased at Davis Food and Drug, Smith’s Food and Drug or from Silvia Weckmann Martinez at 435-790-4753. Come share in his talents and as a community let’s show him that debuting in the Uintah Basin was a choice worth making.
