The Uintah Basin Jr. Livestock Show was a great success over the weekend, with over 500 entries. Randan Vincent, President of the Jr. Livestock Show committee says it was a great week for all involved. “This year we brought back the breeding show with great support in all 4 divisions,” shares Vincent. “In my opinion this is the toughest show in the state and our kids came with top notch animals. A big thanks to all of the sponsors and volunteers that make this happen for the youth. The win is good but the loss is even a great win, when we learn from our defeat.” This year’s Market Grand Champions were Josee Wilkins of Jensen in Steer, Tucker Vincent of Jensen in Hog, Hadlee Owens of Vernal in Goat, and Cooper Jackson of Vernal in Lamb. This year’s Market Reserve Champions were Dallie Jo Horrocks of Vernal in Steer, Brooklyn Ivie of Duchesne in Hog, Blake Holmes of Vernal in Goat, and Kylee Kunzler of Bear River in Lamb. Results from the other categories will be released Monday. Congratulations to all the participants and winners of the Uintah Basin Jr. Livestock Show.
