The community caught a glimpse of the talented cast of this year’s Outlaw Trail Theater production during the 4th of July parade in Vernal, sparking excitement for the ‘Prince of Egypt’ opening this month. Putting together a production of Broadway under the stars is Outlaw Trail’s specialty and it requires countless volunteer hours from those on and behind the stage. Among those volunteers is the scenic artist James Munford who has had a fun time adding clever Easter eggs into the authentic-looking hieroglyphics that are part of the set. A close up look reveals carefully crafted scenes from past Outlaw Trail productions, including Oklahoma and Oliver. ‘The Prince of Egypt’ opens at the Western Park Amphitheater in less than two weeks, running July 20th through August 1st.
