Locals came out in force
Friday
running under a brilliant pink sunset to support the Operation Underground Railroad 5K on Aggie Blvd and Main Street in Vernal. Registrations exceeded original goals for the event with 255 total registered for the race and 200 of those crossing the finish line in the event where every penny was pledged to Operation Underground Railroad in the fight against human trafficking around the world. After a successful first year for the 5K, plans are already underway to make the event even bigger and better next year. The first board meeting for the Vernal OUR 5K has been scheduled for
September 1st
where a volunteer list will be made and next year’s team for planning the event will be formed. Those interested in getting involved in the cause of modern day abolitionists are welcome to come
