The man spreading the message for the need of liver and kidney donors on his nearly 2000 mile bike ride has arrived in the Uintah Basin and will be cycling through the area today before heading into Colorado on Wednesday. If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to cycle up and over Wolf Creek Pass, Mark Scotch has shared what that was like on his ‘Organ Trail’ web journal. “Just when the legs were already burning, we hit an 8% grade climb — a steep reminder that gravity doesn’t mess around up here! But the work was worth it, as the sweeping views and deep sense of accomplishment made every pedal stroke matter,” shared Mark. “On the descent, we rolled down Wolf Creek Summit toward Hanna from Heber City, Utah — greeted by snowy hillsides and breathtaking forests. Nothing like a fast downhill after a relentless uphill battle! (And yes, legs were still shaking even while coasting.) This is what the Organ Trail is all about — chasing new heights, facing tough climbs, and finding beauty (and a little humor) in every challenge.” Keep your eyes out for Mark Scotch on his bicycle and his Organ Trail entourage.
