Outlaw Trail Theater’s production of ‘Oliver!’ opened last night to a thrilled crowd. Among the crowd favorites was the merry band of pickpockets stealing their way through the streets of Victorian England. Actor Justin Benson, who has shared his talents on many stages throughout his life, plays the pickpockets’ leader Fagin. “I have really enjoyed working on Oliver!” shares Benson. “The cast and crew have been so good and a lot of fun to work with. Molly, Taunia, and Rachel have been awesome! They’re so good with the cast, especially with all the kids. They all direct in a way that makes you want to follow them. But they’ve also pushed me to come up with my own stuff as well which was kind of intimidating. But because they’re all really easy to collaborate with we’ve been able to create something great.” Benson’s two cute kids are also in the show, making it an especially memorable experience for their family.
