Theatre under the stars is guaranteed to entertain all ages starting next week with the opening of ‘Oliver!’, this year’s Outlaw Trail Theater production. Producer Jay Haslem has nothing but positives to share about this classic musical and everyone preparing to share it with Uintah Basin audiences. ‘Oliver!’ is an adaptation of the Charles Dickens book, Oliver Twist, the story of an orphan boy sold because he asked for more food at the orphanage. He is taken in by a ragtag group of pickpockets in old Victorian London. “During his time there, he is introduced to the best of people and the worst, culminating in a fight for his life and his friends in this classic broadway musical,” shares Haslem. “We have some Outlaw Trail alumni coming back to the stage and so many new and fresh faces and talent that the public won’t want to miss.” ‘Oliver!’ opens on June 23rd and closes on July 5th.
