Oil Wells Approved; Big Brush Creek Riparian Habitat Restoration Authorized

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has approved the Antelope 2 Pad Kudu Oil Wells, authorizing three Applications for Permit to applicant WEM Operating LLC to drill oil wells. The project location is on split estate lands approximately 8.7 miles southeast of Duchesne in Duchesne County. The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has also approved modifications for the Big Brush Creek Riparian Habitat. The BLM will install up to 10 beaver dam analogs or post-assisted log structures in Big Brush Creek to improve habitat for fish and eliminate non-native vegetation in the riparian zone using hand tools and herbicide. The project location is on BLM-administered land along 0.37 acres of Big Brush Creek in Uintah County. Learn more at www.blm.gov
