The Bureau of Land Management announced on Monday the approval of 5 oil and gas drilling projects in Uintah and Duchesne Counties. The BLM Vernal Field Office approved three drilling permits to Uinta Wax Operating LLC, with a possible fourth well in the future, located on private surface in Uintah County. Three drilling permits were approved for FourPoint Resources LLC located on private surface in Duchesne County. Eight drilling permits were approved for Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC on BLM-administered lands about 20 miles southeast of Vernal. Six drilling permits were approved for KODA Uinta LLC located on BLM-administered lands about 27 linear miles south of Vernal. Finally, six drilling permits were approved for Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC located on BLM-administered lands about 28 linear miles south of Vernal.
