The more opportunities to hear from candidates during an election year the better. News Talk KVEL is hosting a ‘Meet the Candidate’ forum that launched on Monday during an interview with Dan Dilsaver, who had been running for Uintah County Commission Seat A, but who pulled his name from the race. All candidates running in races in which citizens in Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett County will vote are invited to participate in the forum. “The purpose of these interviews is to help the public get to know the respective candidates and their position on issues facing our community,” shares KVEL’s Steve Evans. The ‘Meet the Candidates’ forum started on May 7th and is being held Monday mornings from 8 to 9am broadcast on News Talk KVEL 104.5 FM and 920 AM. The interviews scheduled for Monday, May 14th, are Duane Shepherd for Uintah County Commission Seat B followed by Senate District 26 candidate Jack Rubin.
