Roosevelt City has found a replacement for their city manager position and they didn’t have to go far to find him. Joshua Bake signed the contract during the Roosevelt City Council meeting on Tuesday. Bake is coming from Naples City where he has served as the city manager since 2014. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming and a Juris Doctorate Degree from University of Wyoming College of Law. In April, the Roosevelt City Council unanimously voted to dismiss city manager Scott Finlayson, though they emphasized to the public that Finlayson was an honest and hardworking individual but that his management style did not suit the needs of Roosevelt’s residents or staff. The Council unanimously approved Bake as the new city manager on Tuesday. Bake’s starting date is anticipated to be July 1st.
