New Local Gym Hosts Holiday Feast Soup Kitchen

Earlier this month, a social media post made the call for anyone struggling, stressed, or in need of a pick me up and a warm meal and the promise to help was delivered on Saturday in the form of brisket, mac n’ cheese, and pumpkin pie. A new local gym is doing much more than offering the community an outlet for physical health. Braxton Coonis, owner/operator of The Unit gym in Vernal organized a community wide Holiday Feast Soup Kitchen and filled hundreds of bellies on Saturday. The Unit has been open almost 2 months now and this is already the second time they have found an opportunity to share food with the public. “I have a very deep admiration for our community,” shares Braxton. “I’m ecstatic that I can now give back. That’s why the charity and soup kitchen has been put into place. I’m just grateful to be able to give back. I love our community and we’re going to continue to do events like this.” Learn more about The Unit gym at theunitgym1.com or by calling 435-823-0164.
