Vernal City has announced that new security cameras and protective fencing have been installed around Ashley Springs which is Vernal’s primary culinary water source. “With the nearby Via Ferrata course bringing more visitors to the area, we’re excited to see people enjoying this unique outdoor experience,” shares the announcement. “At the same time, we want to remind everyone that certain areas around the springs are off limits to protect the safety and cleanliness of our community’s drinking water.” Vernal City reminds all that visit that area to always stay on designated routes, to respect all posted signage and barriers, and to avoid restricted areas around the springs in order to keep Vernal’s water source safe and clean for everyone.
