Rain didn’t ruin the fun during UBTech’s 3rd Annual Golf Classic held last Friday at the Roosevelt Golf Course. Even with the rain, the golf tournament still had over 50 teams and 46 sponsors raising nearly $25,000 dollars for the UBTech Foundation Annuity Scholarship. “This will assist many students as they participate in programs at UBTech campuses in Vernal and Roosevelt and become qualified for some amazing careers,” shares UBTech President Aaron Weight. “The funds generously contributed by area businesses and individuals have the potential to be life-changing for students of all ages. Scholarship recipients have the opportunity to receive certificates in over 20 programs. They will enter the workforce and contribute back to their communities, helping sustain the economy of the Uintah Basin.” Golfers enjoyed more than just a round on the green. They were also treated to an amazing meal provided by UBTech’s Culinary Arts Program.
